John J. Wilson & Son
About Us
The Wilson family first started breeding budgerigars around 1950.
My late father and I (John Wilson) kept a few normals, lutinos, albinos, and clearwings.
When I went away to college at the age of 11, we gave up with the birds.
I joined the R.A.F. in the 60's, and was married a few years later.
Whilst still in the R.A.F., I Built a few cages and started breeding clearwings again. When I left the R.A.F., I started breeding the birds again with my father.
We started exhibiting the birds, and had a quite successful time on the showbench.
As the years went on and my children came on to the scene, I could no longer afford to keep the birds and the children. Obviously, the birds had to go!
My son Stephen remembered me talking about breeding budgerigars, and one day persuaded me to start up again.
